May 22, 2016</strong><br />Officer Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. was shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop. Officer Tarentino had served with the Auburn Police Department for two years and had previously served with the Leicester Police Department for seven years. March 16, 2016</strong><br />Trooper Thomas Clardy died from injuries he sustained when a speeding vehicle crossed three travel lanes and struck the back of his cruiser during a traffic stop in Charlton. Trooper Clardy had served with the Massachusetts State Police for 10 years and was a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. April 1, 2014 </strong><br />Officer Gregg Maloney was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 1, 2014 when he was involved in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash while on patrol with another motor officer. April 18, 2013 </strong><br />Officer Sean Collier was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 18, 2013. Officer Collier was killed while securing the MIT campus three days following the Boston Marathon bombings. Officer Jose Torres proudly served the city of Westfield Massachusetts for 27 years. Officer Kevin Ambrose proudly served the City of Springfield Massachusetts for 36 years and had previously served as a police cadet for two years.
